The George Tavern, affectionately known by our locals as The George, is Maitland's premier award winning Tavern. Conveniently located just off the New England Highway, next to Stockland Greenhills.

The George is open 7 days a week with food service from 11.30am daily.

We have carefully created our Food Menu based on many factors, most importantly, what our customers want. Choose your meal according to your situation, mood or naughtiness.

If you are feeling healthy, you can choose a salad, or substitute your pasta for our zuchinni noodles tossed in one of our new pasta sauces. Something with a twist? Why not add a delicious sauce or compound butter to your salmon, chicken or steak & choose a couple of sides to share. If you are after an easy pub meal then you are going to reach for something from our favourites or for our schnitty!
But if you're feeling a little evil …... we dare you to try one of our icky sticky gooey toppers on your steak, schnitty or fries & wash it down with a freak shake!
