In years gone by, prior to the sealed roads and highways and byways now found throughout Australia, roads travelled were often unsealed with towns found many miles apart.
Folks travelling by horse & cart would travel with their homemade meals and find a nice shady spot to rest a while. The Coolabah Tree, being a large, wide-spreading tree with an abundance of shady foliage, was the perfect place to rest under and enjoy their meal. Hence our modern-day Coolabah Tree Cafe provides a comfortable place for travelers & explorers to rest & enjoy wholesome freshly prepared food.
We have now expanded to 19 locations from humble food courts to roadhouse & service station outlets in Queensland, New South Wales & South Australia.
