Cooktown Golf Club is a fully licensed nine hole course with 18 tees. Ranked in the Top 60 nine hole courses in Australia by Golf Australia Magazine and also being the most northern golf course on the east coast of Australia just adds to its appeal.

The course follows the natural contours of the land, winding its way through the tropical bush clad sand dunes and is surrounded on one side by Monkhouse Pt and the Coral Sea at Walker Bay and on the other side by the imposing Mt Cook which serves as a constant reminder of this ancient land, the natural beauty of this tropical links style course makes it a must play for the golf adventurer and holiday maker, we have electric carts and hire clubs available, so take the tip and make the trip.

However, this gem of a course also can bare her teeth, The Tradewinds blow from the south east around 20 knots most days, making shot placement a priority, Billabong fed irrigation systems augment the natural wet season. Tee boxes, Grass Greens and Fairways are well presented year round by our dedicated volunteers.
